Padaskar Ji, This article is not about Indians being shy, humble or less confident. It is about the inferiority that Indians feel about their own culture and heritage. It appears to me that you have not read the article, but, I might be mistaken and therefore I give you a benefit of doubt and will respond to your comment assuming that you have read the article.

So coming to your argument about generalization. All over the article I have said things such as“Many Indians” or “A lot of Indians”. I never said that “every Indian or all Indians” so I am not sure why you assumed that I think “every Indian” has inferiority complex. It is a well known thing that when comparing themselves to other cultures, in general (not everyone, in general or a lot of) Indians display inferiority complex.

BTW, when you said “Americans are generally more outgoing and more confident, even when compared with some European cultures”. You are also generalizing. As you can see an argument cannot be made without generalization, therefore your argument of “not to generalize” in my opinion is not valid.
