I cannot blame you for your shallow understanding as mainstream has an agenda and wants you to see the world a certain way. Do not fall for that, do your own investigation. Dig deeper, read Hindu texts and read Muslim texts. Try to read original sources for history. Observe and analyze why people are doing what they are doing. Things will become clearer to you.
